| Our classes have a maximum of 25 students, who are guided by specialized bilingual teacher and an auxiliary teacher.
Regarding the time kids spend in school, families can opt for: morning shift, afternoon shift or double shift.
Our Kindergarten is based on the concepts of Early Stimulation, within a frame of personalized teaching that allows us to develop and make the most out of individual capacities, whilst promoting an authentic bilingual education and an integral educational growth.
MINI DUCKLINGS (18 months classroom): In Kindergarten, this space thought out for the younger ones invites them to explore the world, get to know new friends and use all their energy while at school.
DUCKLINGS (2 years old classroom): Work in this classroom is based on language stimulation, socialization and habits development. Walking our students and their families through the adaptation process is our primary objective during this first stage. They will find a space of games and learning, a space to explore and enjoy within a stimulating growth experience together with their teachers and new friends. Also during this stage, through games, students take their first steps in the matters of reading and writing and start accessing English via gaming and musical activities.
KITTENS (3 years old classroom): From this stage on, English teaching, learning and usage become intensive. Our students learn a new language in a most natural way, just as they have learnt their mother tongue. They learn to get a grip of English by playing and singing. Several resources are used for this, such as: videos, stories and listening activities. Also during this stage, students start working with computers, being the later a very helpful tool with the kids’ first steps into reading and writing as well as with the basic mathematical notions.
PUPPIES (4 years old classroom): Working methods during this stage resemble the ones taken in the previous classroom. Students are introduced to scientific knowledge, their vocabulary range is amplified and they reach major comprehension and better skills within the English language. Written communication and the resolution of problem like situations are of vital importance to the classroom’s daily work. These strategies create meaningful experiences, allowing names, letters and numbers to be included in the pedagogical proposals for this stage. Also, students of this classroom participate in Saint Gregory’s Math Olympic Games for the first time.
Activities:

Library/Video-library:
Our Kindergarten students have their own library, to which they and their teachers have permanent access. As a way to encourage reading, from Ducklings classroom on, a “moving library system” is implemented between the families of each classroom.

Sports: In Ducklings stage our students start their gym classes with specialized teachers. One of the main objectives of these classes is that, in a recreational space, they enjoy their motor possibilities and strengthen their skills and abilities.

Drama: Every week, our students participate of this activity that enriches their ability to express themselves and their communication skills within the frame of theatrical
games. Together with their Drama teacher and with the helping hand of their own teachers, our students perform in the Annual Kindergarten and Pre-School Musical. This final production is a sample of the work done in English during the school year.

Computer studies:
Our students start working in this area through didactic games specially designed for the learning process.

Lunch: Students can choose between the school’s lunch system, specially diagramed by nutritionists, and the lunch-box system. Our teachers personally supervise lunchtime in both cases.
